Ty Update!

Just a little update on Ty. We had his 18 month check up on Thursday and he is a whopping 28.4 lbs (75 percentile) and is 34" (90 percentile). He did a wonderful job during his appointment and didn't even flinch when he got his shot...such a brave baby. However, I probably shouldn't get started on having his blood drawn for his lead levels...you all don't want or need to hear how upset I was by the time we left.

We have one Happy and Healthy 18 month old!

Little Stink

The good news...my tub has never been cleaner. The bad news...about 90% of bath times with Ty end with a big giant poo for Mommy clean out and a sink full of bath toys.

The Time Has Escaped Me

I'm not sure where February went...we've all been very busy at the Pingel house. Fareway is going well for Jeremy, I've was busy with Pampered Chef shows (my best month to date), pre-school is going well for Drew, and Ty is getting to fast.
Here are a few pictures (gee I didn't even get many of those this past month).

A Sad Day At The Pingel House

Today was a very sad day here. Jeremy and I had to make the decision to put Heavy, our cat, to sleep.

As some of you may already know, Heavy has been in Jeremy's life longer than I have. Jeremy can't for the life of him remember what year he was born, but we think May of 1998. Heavy, was a fat, lazy, happy cat, and they boys adored him. I never pictured myself a cat lover till I met Heavy, but he was my family.

The last couple of weeks he would start gagging, and these last couple of days the gagging was followed by a hard time breathing. This morning I took him to the kitty doctor and after some X-Rays they found a mass on his lungs. From what the vet could tell he was getting about 25% of air capacity from one lung and about 30% from another, and there was nothing they could do to help him. I called Jeremy and we both felt it would be selfish on our end to keep him here with us, especially as uncomfortable as he was.

In the end, I think we made the right choice, but a very hard decision to make. He was a great kitty and we will all miss him very much.

All I Can Say

All I can say is my day started at 6am and it's been one crappy day so far.

I hate venting on her, but sometimes I need it.

Sorry all for wasting your time.

Happy Birthday Drew

Well, we did it. We made it 4 years with this bundle of joy, that is 110% all boy, that can't sit still for more than 30 seconds, that loves to play with his "guys", that loves to do anything that is daddy does, and has a sweet spot for his baby brother.

This year we got to celebrate his birthday party on his birthday! We had a house full of people: Grandma and Papa Buddy (my parents), Grandma and Papa Sadie (J's parents), Aunt Lissa, cousins Izzy and Ally, Lisa and Mark (our friends from North Liberty), Isaiah and Bird (our old neighbor and his soon to be step-sister), and Todd and Holly (some friends from here). The theme this year was Power Rangers and you can see in some of the pictures he had most of them set up before the party guest arrived, but took them down shortly after he put them up.

At his 4 year check up the doctor said he was healthy (which this Mama always likes to hear), he is 3' 6" or 44" tall and that sent him off the charts and he is 42 pounds which puts him in the 90%.

Enjoy a few pictures from his party!
